AYC Coaching Tools
At American Youth Football, safety is the first priority when it comes to a child's participation. From background checks and concussion awareness, to education and insurance, we take pride in our safety first risk management, which provides the most professional and safe environment for children to play.
AYC has partnered with the top training providers and athletic coaches. Failure to act in a safe and responsible manner, with the children entrusted to you, will be dealt with severe consequences from the AYF National Office.
Due to today’s safety concerns for our children in sport, all AYC cheer coaches are strongly advised to complete the online course at AYFcoaching.com. The course, for only $24.95, includes a $2 million extra liability coverage, which is twice the amount offered by our competition.
* This is the ONLY coaches training course that is accepted for AYC National Championship Coaches.
For those coaches who have been certified through ayfcoaching.com in the past, we also offer a recertification course that will also include a $2 million extra liability coverage at a discounted rate.
Certified National Coaches Database
Need to find a certified coach?
Exclusive coaching education partner ASEP has joined with AYC to design these special courses. Those coaches who take the course will obtain a certification of completion and get listed in the National Coaches Registry. Administrators can also buy the courses for their coaches under an organization account.
AYC Special Coaching Books are also available for sale at AYFcoaching.com.
There is no band aid solution to the concussion issue which exists at every level of play. To insure the well being of young athletes, AYF and AYC insists on proper instruction by competent coaches and most important, in a culture of good sportsmanship.
AYC also requires each coach and assistant coach to complete a concussion course to be rostered on a team. Please contact American Youth Football for questions regarding this certification.
Failure to act in a safe and responsible manner with children entrusted to your care can mean severe disciplinary action taken against you.
For that, AYF has partnered with First Advantage (Formerly LexisNexis) to make sure no coach or instructor goes unchecked and that we are able to provide the best and safest working environment for our members.
Since 2002 LexisNexis has screened more than 3.7 million potential employees or volunteers, identifying over 189,000 individuals with criminal convictions - including more than 2700 registered sex offenders. After a strategic merger in early 2013, LexisNexis is now known as First Advantage.
